Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

Proving Fugelsang's Point

One constant message from the Lard of Dorkness to his base of deplorables is this:  Of course we're not racists, but even if we are, it's OK.

An acquaintance and occasional reader saw fit to text me this photo yesterday.  I'll do him a small favor by withholding his name, but he is a low-info conservative who proudly voted for Trump and thinks images like this are just ha-ha LOL hilarious.

I found it less than amusing.  By sending it to me now, he revealed his own out-of-touch Trumpishness while inadvertently proving the point made by John Fugelsang in a post from yesterday.

Said Fugelsang:

"Of course he doesn't know why 'Pocohontas' is racist, or why the Judge Curiel comments were racist, or why birtherism was racist.  Because ignorant racists are generally ignorant that they're racist."
