The Glove has a new campaign ad touting the wonders of coal and attacking Obama's supposed "war" on it. It was filmed during an August event at a Beallsville, Ohio coal mine.
Just oozing folksiness in his checkered shirt, dad jeans and hair gel, Good Ol' Boy Mitt stands in front of a bunch of raggedy miners -- who were forced by their employer, Murray Energy, to participate in this farce. The company closed the mine for the taping and none of the workers received their pay for that day.
As a Murray Energy official explained, "Attendance was mandatory, but no one was forced to attend."
