Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

For $17 Million, You Get Bupkus

It was reported a couple days ago that Karl Rove's American Crossroads/Crossroads GPS/Crossroads Grassroots Super-Pac will spend $17 million in a no-holds-barred attempt to unseat Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH). It's the largest outlay targeting any Senator of either party in this election. For that kind of money, you'd think you could get a high-quality ad or two.

But quality has never been the Rovian way. Ain't no road like the low road. Some screen-shots of Rove's style, current and previous:

That's the best you got? Go blow, Karl!
