Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

Turn Out The Lights, The Party's Over

At least it's over for one former Republican committeeman in Illinois.  Linked is Chris Ladd's letter explaining his decision to quit the GOP.  The original post ends with the Willie Nelson song.  Sweet!

Sent by a faithful reader and worth a re-post.  Thank you, faithful reader!

"From his fairy-tale wall to his schoolyard bullying and his flirtation with violent racists, Donald Trump offers America a singular narrative:  a tale of cowards."

"Preserving a party is not a morally defensible goal if that party has lost its legitimacy."

"There is no redemption in being one of the 'good Nazis'."
