Ironic Ignorance In Texas


Fifty years ago, August 1, 1966, a crazed gunman in the clock tower at the University of Texas shot and killed 16 people and wounded many more.  It was horrific.

Yesterday, August 1, 2016, a new "campus carry" Texas law went into effect allowing college students, including those at the University of Texas, to carry loaded guns on campus and in classrooms.

The sad irony of the August 1st date is unintentional.  The willful ignorance of Texas legislators is not.
