When You Know Your Proposal Sucks, Try Begging and Pleading


After Donald Drumpf's ill-advised move of the American embassy from Tel Aviv to the disputed city of Jerusalem, Palestinians protested in the Gaza Strip.  The Gaza Strip is essentially a refugee camp surrounded by fencing and wire, with all movement of people, food and goods in and out closely controlled by the Israeli military. 

The Palestinians protested in their usual impoverished fashion, yelling, waving signs and throwing rocks over the fence.  Israel responded in their usual fashion, with excessive and lethal force.  They killed 60 Palestinians, then claimed they were all Hamas terrorists, which is B.S.

At the U.N., Kuwait introduced a resolution condemning Israel for such unnecessary force.  That upset the belligerent Bibi and his buddy Donny.  So our U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley put forth her own competing resolution which blamed Hamas and the Palestinians for everything.

Haley's resolution failed.  It received but one vote -- her own.  But it's fun to watch her work the room, begging and pleading to no avail.  (Couldn't embed the video.  Just click the link.)

The Trump playbook:  After begging and pleading get you nowhere, then make threats.  Nikki's taking names, and there will be payback.  Ooh!
