Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

Dumb, Loud And Wrong

Oh, dear!  The Trump administration is a hot mess!  (And I'm not even going to mention Scott Pruitt.)

On the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Europe, State Dept. spokesperson Heather Nauert said that D-Day was an example of  "our strong relationship with Germany."  OMFG!  Wrong!  The Germans were trying to kill us on D-Day.

The Great Prevaricator himself got into the act when Canadian P.M. Justin Trudeau called to complain about Ill Douche's tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum.  Trump said the tariffs were a matter of "national security."  Wrong!  When Trudeau objected to the characterization, Trump asked, "Well, didn't you guys burn down the White House during the War of 1812?"  Holy shit!  Wrong!  The British torched the place.

(According to humorist Andy Borowitz, schools are cancelling White House tours, fearing that Trump might try to teach kids some history.)

And Trump's latest lawyer, Rudy Ghouliani, has been giving his boss/client a real run for his money.  Rudy has been yapping about anything and everything, slaughtering the truth at every turn.

According to Rudy, after Trump initially cancelled the meeting with Kim Jong Un, Lil Kim "begged on his hands and knees" for Trump to hold the summit as scheduled.  Puh-leeze!  Wrong!

According to Rudy, the Mueller investigation is "being run by 13 highly partisan Democrats" who are trying "very, very hard to frame the [fake] president."  Wrong!  They're all Republicans, and no one needs to frame our Thug-In-Chief.  His corruption is self-evident.

According to Rudy, Melania believes her husband when he claims he had no affair with Stormy Daniels.  Wrong!  The Bride of Trumpenstein knows full well what a lying, sack-of-shit philanderer he is.  And if he really did nothing, why did he pay Daniels $130-friggin'-thousand dollars?

FLOTUS showing her
class & substance
According to Rudy, porn stars have no cred compared to Trumps's wives (plural), all of whom "are beautiful, classy, women of substance."  LMFAO!  Wrong!

If I may offer advice to Trump and his Swamp Cabinet, and if I may paraphrase Faber College's Dean Wormer from Animal House:

Dumb, loud and wrong is no way to go through life, son.
