Regarding much-needed gun reforms, after he opened his big, fat mouth made some vaguely sensible noises, and after he taunted Senators about being "afraid of the NRA," our fake president then had lunch with the NRA and decided to do things their way, i.e. more guns, this time in schools (armed teachers and armed guards).

No universal background checks, no ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, no increase in the minimum age to buy a gun, no waiting periods, and no funding for CDC research on guns and public health.

Just more fucking guns.  How about no fucking way?


Setting aside the fact that our national gun problem is not limited only to schools,

• Putting the perpetually clueless Betsy DeVos in charge of studying school safety (or anything else) is not a solution.
• More guns will never be a solution.  Fewer guns will be.
