Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

How To Buy A Gun

Worth noting:  Step 1 for U.S. gun buyers is essentially optional.  Instant background checks aren't required if you purchase your lethal weapon at a gun show or a swapmeet or out out of some guy's trunk.  Approximately one third of all U.S. gun sales occur this way.  For many Americans, buying a gun takes about half an hour.  In some other countries, it can take months.

The above example is taken from a New York Times article, "How to Buy a Gun in 15 Countries."
