Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

The Future Looks Bright

Here's Sophie, a 7th-grader from Columbus.  I met her yesterday at a fundraiser rally for Sen. Sherrod Brown.

You don't see a 7th-grader in an FDR tee shirt very often!

You can't see them in the photo (taken by her dad, who needs to work on his technique), but her jacket featured vintage campaign buttons -- FDR, Harry Truman, JFK, etc.

With young people like Sophie coming up, the future looks like it will be in good hands.

Sen. Chuck Schumer was there.

  1. As a dear old friend, unfortunately there are kids growing up in wing-nut houses tauting just the opposite.
