After two half-hearted, ghost-written attempts to deliver the right message, late this afternoon our fake president went off script at a press conference and showed his ass/his true feelings.
He defended his violent, racist, Nazi supporters -- "very fine people" -- and berated the Charlottesville counter-protesters as the "very violent alt-left." It was a mind-boggling display of victim-blaming, "both sides" bullshit moral equivalency, and [literal] what-aboutism.
Watch the video. It's sixteen instructive and excruciatingly long minutes of the real Trump -- angry, ignorant, combative, dishonest, argumentative, delusional, egotistical, incoherent, and ugly through and through.
Naturally, David Duke thought it was great.
