Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

They Don't Need Your Thoughts And Prayers

And again.

This Sunday morning a man armed with an assault rifle entered a church in a small Texas town and opened fire.  He killed at least 26 people and wounded another 20.

How many of us must be slaughtered in senseless gun violence before our legislators do something?  Anything?  The madness of their willful inaction must stop!

The victims and their families don't need your "thoughts and prayers."  They were in a church, for cryin' out loud!  Prayers everywhere.  What's needed is meaningful gun control.
