Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

Snitchler Exposed

Last week, the Board of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio voted down a proposed solar energy project, even though PUCO staff had recommended its passage.

The PUCO Chairman is Todd Snitchler, a Kasich appointee and -- who knew? --Twitter devotee.  His numerous Tweets expose him as a troglodyte Right-tard jerk.  A sampling of "Todd's Tweet Nothings" (not including his many anti-Obama and anti-gun control Tweets):

"The myth of global warming"
"Windbags and Greeniacs"
"Green religion is taking over from Christian religion"
"Electric cars pose environmental threat"
"The Himalayas have lost no ice"
"After [Superstorm] Sandy, no one lined up for wind turbines."
"Clean-energy aid racks up losses"

The stated mission of the PUCO is to give us safe and reliable utility services at fair prices with competitive choices.

Chairman Snitchler has other ideas.  His idea of "safe" is coal mines and fracking.  His idea of "choice" does not include renewable energy.

My idea is Snitchler oughta be fuckin' fired!
