Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

The Daily Trump Train Wreck: Said, Not Said

Put some pasta or pulled pork on top
and the resemblance is uncanny!
What words were coming out of his mouth today?  And just as importantly, how about all those things he "didn't say" or "won't say"?

"Torture works.  Believe me, it works.  OK?"  (No, not OK.)

"A religious leader questioning [my] faith is disgraceful."  (Leader is none other than the Pope, whom Trump calls "a pawn."  The Donald's religious credibility is zero.  Pope wins, easy.)

The media covers this B.S. like a train wreck -- they can't look away, and make sure we can't either.

I used to enjoy watching "Morning Joe" on MSNBC until Scarborough turned it into three hours of free daily publicity for Trump.  Mika just goes along for the enabling ride.

Here's a snippet of Q&A from MSNBC's "town hall" (what a joke).

Mika:     "Exactly how will you build a wall and make Mexico pay for it?"
Trump:  "Mika, it's easy.  Easy.  You just do it.  Easy."
Mika:     "Next question is yours, Joe."

This is journalism?  And does anyone ever call out the Talking Yam for his cheap ploy of constantly mentioning what he won't say or didn't say?

It's the race to the bottom.  Walter Cronkite and David Brinkley are spinning in their graves!

The video is hilarious!
