Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

"That Will Never Happen Again! . . . That Will Never Happen Again! . . . "

Marco Rubio, that famously thirsty, credit-addicted, climate-change-denying, vote-skipping Dondi of a boy Senator from Florida, has now become a human Vine video loop.  He caught a lot of well-deserved flak for saying "Obama knows exactly what he's doing" four times in a row during the last GOP debate.  He got stuck on a talking point and couldn't think of anything else, so he kept hitting replay.  Poor SOB can't even deliver prepared remarks properly.  Flop sweat!

After a disappointing result in Tuesday's New Hampshire primary, Rubio blamed it on his embarassing debate performance and proclaimed forthrightly, "It's on me.  I did not do well.  That will never happen again!"

And then, of course, that's exactly what happened . . . again.  Wednesday morning, Marco ran straight to Fox News and repeated his scripted response of "It's on me.  That will never happen again."  Mr. Spontaneous!

If the day ever comes when it's really true that you won't let it happen again, then I'll be the first to say, "Domo arigato, Marco Roboto."
