Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

In On A Horse, Out On A Rail

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke will be stepping down and leaving Washington D.C. by the end of the year.  This is good news.  Along with Scott Pruitt at the EPA, Zinke did damage by playing a big role in Yam Face's efforts to dismantle environmental regulations and open up public lands to private oil/gas drilling and coal mining.

Cowboy Stinky rode a horse to work
on his first day as Interior Secretary
Zinke's dishonorable ways became immediately apparent.  A climate change denier, Zinke became entangled in numerous accusations of unethical conduct and conflicts of interest, including excessive travel expense, nepotism, and using his public position for his private gain.  He is currently under DOJ investigation, and with the Democrats set to control the House in January, if he stuck around, Stinky Zinke would clearly be up to his ears in congressional investigations as well.

Naturally then, like so many other of the "best people" in the Swamp Administration, Zinke took the chicken-shit route -- quickly skip town before you get thrown out.

In on a horse, out on a rail.
In at a a walk, out at a gallop.
Good riddance!
