Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

I Was A Catholic. Now I'm A Cheesehead.

Last weekend, I turned Catholic for about two hours and I pulled hard for Notre Dame to upset the Kentucky Wildcats in the NCAA Elite Eight.  It almost happened, but Kentucky lucked out with a two-point win.

So we're down to the Final Four later today, and my favorite team is still ABK -- Anybody But Kentucky.  Around 8:30, I'll undergo a cheddar-ific transformation and turn into a Cheesehead for two hours.  I will root for Wisconsin to knock off Kentucky.

ABK!  ABK!
