The Supreme Court is hearing arguments in an anti-affirmative action case brought by a University of Texas student. Justice Antonin Scalia, as conserva-tarded as it gets, immediately fell back a couple centuries and had this to say:
“There are – there are those who contend that it does not benefit African Americans to get them into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced school, a less – a slower-track school where they do well.
“One of – one of the briefs pointed out that – that most of the – most of the black scientists in this country don’t come from schools like the University of Texas. They come from lesser schools where they do not feel that they’re – that they’re being pushed ahead in – in classes that are too fast for them.”
Very good, Tony! How generous and thoughtful of you to suggest that black students should go to some sort of slow-learner schools. And of course blacks would "do well" in the back of the bus and drinking from that water fountain over there.
Immediately after today's arguments, the troglodyte Scalia released his umpteeenth ceremonial opinion concurring with Plessy v. Ferguson, 1896, and Dred Scott, 1857.
Scalia is a total ass-wipe!
In related news, yesterday Christmas-caroling students at the Citadel in Charleston, SC showed why there is absolutely no need for any affirmative action program at their college. Nice!
(The Citadel is a military college founded in 1842, in part to protect white residents from the majority black slave population.)

My favorite actual 19th century Supreme Court Justice is Gabriel Duvall, my 4th great-grandfather, as well as a distant relative of Barack Obama (hence, my Cousin Barry). Great X 4 Grandpa Gabe was appointed Comptroller of the Treasury by Thomas Jefferson, and later served many years on the bench of the Supreme Court. He had a small farm in Maryland and, for awhile, kept a few slaves.
It's easy for me to rip dipshits like Scalia. But I'll bet my ancient ancestor Gabe had some back-in-the-day court opinions which would have made my toes curl. Check the link below. High Court-wise, Gabe was John Marshall's BFF. Kinda like Scalia and Clarence Thomas?
God, I hope not, but who really knows?
