What a week for the Abominable Showman.
Donnie Destructo is a one-man wrecking crew, single-handedly destroying NATO and our Western alliances, and then ignoring all U.S. intelligence by publicly expressing more belief in Vladimir Putin than in our own American agencies. It was incredible, borderline treason.
What can we take away from Trump's European spree of damage and debasemant?
- American world leadership is over, at least for the time being. Our would-be allies are gobsmacked by the unhinged words and deeds of our Cassino Mussolini. He's squandered our global good will. For now, America is an untrustworthy, counter-productive "ally."
- Republicans are on the spot. Will they go totally tribal, super-partisan, and close ranks in defense of the indefensible Dolt 45? Or will they stand up to him and speak out? Will any Swamp Administration officials locate their spines and resign in protest? Or would it be better for those few (if any) of good conscience to remain in the fold to fight against the craziness of Dolt 45? Time for the GOP to choose.
- After watching Trump's weak and pathetic press joint conference, his fawning deference to a thug dictator, I believe Putin has a hell of a lot more "kompromat" on him than a simple pee tape.
