Last night, the Lakewood, Ohio school board wisely refused to hire alumnus Dave Daubenmire as head football coach at Lakewood High. At a public hearing in front of a hundred spectators, Daubie the Dipshit strutted, preened, and loudly defended his own personal brand of mental illness. But in the end, the vote was 3 to 2 against him. (Somewhat surprising he got two votes.)
Because I know this guy I, along with many others, sent an email to the five board members prior to last night's vote. Here's a portion of it:
As you consider hiring Dave Daubenmire, remember the old saying: "Opinions are like fannies -- everyone has one, but that doesn't mean everyone wants to see yours."
Mr. Daubenmire is entitled to his opinions, but unfortunately he is a shameless proselytizer who shows his fanny to everyone along the way. He insists on foisting his personal religious and political views upon others, whether they like it or not. He sees it as his calling and is incapable of setting his beliefs aside. On the contrary, he takes great pride in his evangelical zealotry. That may be OK if you're hiring a chaplain, but it's inappropriate and unacceptable when you're hiring a public school teacher and coach.
This should be the end of the line for you, Davey Boy. You're the "Super Christian" who was fired from a Christian school, and now you can't even get hired at your alma mater. The world has finally figured you out -- you're just an ego-maniacal attention addict, a ball-grabbing circus monkey.
So go off and promote your malignant YouTube channel, or start your own crazy church, but stay away from genuine education.
A screen-grab from an actual Daubenmire video on YouTube from December. Yes, that's the would-be "coach" in the Sasquatch Santa get-up. Un-friggin'-believable!

Buster, did you see what Daubenmire wrote on his Facebook page this morning?
ReplyDelete"Can you handle some Truth this morning? People gripe all of the time about the need to get God back into our schools...well...I was gonna carry Him in the front door and NOT ONE pastor showed up last night. They stayed home and "prayed"...at least they said they did. The enemies of the cross showed up and fought. The pastors stayed home. Our enemies play to win...Christians play amongst themselves. The homosexuals love their lies more than God's people love Truth...pastors were MIA."
So after telling everyone at the school board meeting last night that he had no desire evangelize to their sons, now he turns around and admits he was going to bring God into a public school. He talks out of both sides of his mouth.
From Right Wing Watch
"Daubenmire has responded by firing off a press release blaming the decision on outside groups which "used lies, intimidation and threats to bully the school board into rejecting the administration's recommendations" and claiming that he was the victim of illegal discrimination. "It is painfully obvious that the anti-Christian lobby demand not just acceptance but obedience to their far left dogma and will smear anyone who speaks up for Christian values. The message that the Lakewood Board of Education sent last night is that anyone with deeply held Biblical beliefs is not welcome in our public schools. The board's actions were both immoral and illegal. My family has resided in this community for over 50 years. The rejection by this school board is a slap in the face not only to Christians everywhere, but to our family in particular. In America, only Christians can be discriminated against. Homosexual teachers and coaches would be welcomed with open arms." http://christiannewswire.com/news/8512073657.html -
Humorous article about Daubenmire in Forbes magazine online. http://www.forbes.com/sites/bobcook/2014/02/13/americas-most-christian-football-coach-rejected-from-job-actually-coaching-football/
BTW the Phil Robertson wig that Daub's wearing looks like fuzzy white bathmat with holes cut in it. What a jackass he is.
Thanks for the comment! Daubie is one seriously wacked-out nut job, isn't he? Clearly, he missed school when they discussed separation of church & state. I'll check out the Forbes article.
DeleteSomebody spent a lot of time on this. Too bad it came out two days after the school board meeting, http://outlookcolumbus.com/2014/02/commentary-getting-to-know-coach-dave/
ReplyDeleteYep, that's a well-done and amusing list of all the things that Daubie doesn't like. With all these things to hate, about the only thing left for Daubie to like is . . . himself!
