Gut-Check For GOP Congress

Sen. Portman and Rep. Tiberi,

I'm your constituent and I'm joining the chorus.  I'm calling on both of you, as my elected officials, to not merely oppose Nazism (easy!) but to publicly renounce the president by name after his despicable comments yesterday in New York City.

His name is Donald J. Trump and, for obvious reasons, you need to abandon him now -- just cut him loose.  Then for as long as he lasts, you do whatever you do and let him do whatever he does all by himself.  You can no longer work with him -- he's unfit for office and has no moral authority.  His administration has been, and will be, nothing but a waste.  He's done.  Deal with it.

You'll do yourselves and your party a great favor by focusing on the future and giving up any hope of redeeming this hot, stinking mess.

Again, you need to call out Donald J. Trump by name, condemn his support of racists and Nazis and hate groups, and separate yourselves from him by publicly declaring you have no confidence in him and can no longer prop him up.

If you have the guts to do this, you'll perform a service for the GOP and place yourselves on the right side of history.

It's time to man up.  Will you do it?  Can you?
