Welcome to Buster's Blog

Irregular commentary on whatever's on my mind -- politics, sports, current events, and life in general. After twenty years of writing business and community newsletters, fifteen years of fantasy baseball newsletters, and two years of email "columns", this is, I suppose, the inevitable result: the awful conceit that someone might actually care to read what I have to say. Posts may be added often, rarely, or never again. As always, my mood and motivation are unpredictable.

A Welcome Break

Very soon, the campaigning and the elections will be over, and we'll all enjoy taking a break (of at least a week or two) from ridiculous, fear-mongering attack ads like these.  (Real?  Nah, but they could be.)

In a statewide poll of thirty-seven-and-a-half likely voters, Terri Bull ranked as the candidate most likely to sell your children into slavery.  Terri Bull -- she's wrong for Ohio.  (Paid for by Citizens Against a Terri Bull Government.)

Twice a week, Bill Loney eats lunch at a Middle Eastern restaurant which is actually a front for a secret back-room madrassa, where young Al Qaeda chefs learn to prepare delicious but deadly terrorist falafel.  Call Bill Loney -- tell him to eat American food and stand up for real American values!

My opponent Drew Peacock raised your taxes then used taxpayer money for Las Vegas gambling trips and for his wife's boob job.  But that same Drew Peacock voted against funding for shoes for unemployed veterans.  He's just another tax-and-spend liberal.  We can't afford another four years of Drew Peacock!

Norma Lee Lyon says she'll do what's right for our state, but Norma Lee Lyon refused to cut your taxes, did not pay her own taxes, received 163 parking tickets, has several unpaid library fines, and did not even send her own grandmother a Christmas card!  You just can't trust Norma Lee Lyon.

This election, vote for General Doug Graves, or there may not be a next election.
