Don The Con's History Of Tax Evasion
With all the konstant Kavanaugh Kakaphony, it was easy to forget about everything else. So let's remind ourselves that other important things are still going on. Like Robert Mueller's Russia probe. And like the New York Times exhaustive special report on a lifetime of tax evasion as practiced by the Trump family. It's a masterwork of investigative journalism. Reporters scoured over 100,000 pages of records, including tax returns, and found numerous examples of dubious and/or illegal tax fraud schemes. The Trumps are revealed as crooked to the bone.
I'm sure you're aware of this story. It first broke last week, in the midst of the BooFFFFy Bart bamboozlement, and didn't get the attention it deserved. It's a sweeping tale of money, greed, and lies. One of my favorite parts is the family's faithful property appraiser evading taxes by placing a value of negative $5.9 million on a large Trump-owned apartment complex. The same year, 1992, city auditors gave it a tax valuation of $38.1 million. In 2004, a bank appraised it for $104 million. But the Trumps would have you believe that in 1992, somehow the 886-unit complex was so worthless, they'd have to pay you a fortune to take it off their hands.
I should let the full article speak for itself. Here's the link. I hope you'll read it. It's a very long piece, with a few embedded explanatory videos, but worthwhile for those who care to dig a little deeper and learn a little more about the con artist occupying the White House. The NY State tax authorities are reviewing the information. There is no statute of limitations on civil fines or tax fraud. Nail him!
