Racist Alabama Senator Who's Named After Two Confederate Generals And Is Opposed To Voting Rights Insists He's Not A Racist
The pick for U.S. Attorney General, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, has a long history of opposing voting rights, joking about the KKK, and making racial slurs. These are among the reasons he was once denied a federal judgeship. But of course, good ol' Jeff says he's not a racist, no sir:
"These are damnably false accusations. I did not harbor race-based animosities. I did not."
That's a mighty fine denial, Jeffy . . . despite the evidence to the contrary.
Have you ever met a racist who honestly acknowledged his racism? Me either.
